The Concept for the Star Forum Conference

The working concept/purpose of this effort is to bring likeminded people with similar goals, who may not be aware of each other individually or with each other’s work, together to share information about their work, experiences, tried and tested methods, ways to avoid pit falls, evolve best practices, and exchange and pool ideas.

STAR FORUM will invite guests representing NGOs from across the country who have credible record of working in the field of Rural Vocational Skills Education with the purpose of exchanging of ideas on how best to transfer skill sets to the maximum number of economically disadvantaged people, ways to make the process as less capital intensive as possible, funding sources to keep such projects going, pit-falls faced, solutions sought etc.

Any Project necessarily needs continuous quality control and innovation, and from that point of view staying in touch with other NGOs with similar goals to exchange and adopt best practices or tried and tested practices to save time, effort and resources is a necessity for speedier development.  The workshop attempts to provide a platform for such an exchange.

To develop a country-wide framework to facilitate such exchange of ideas and act as think-tank. This will help start the process of harnessing and collecting best ideas and practices and evolving a framework for organizations working in this field to form an association for future dialog and exchange of ideas on an annual basis
