Two Days National Workshop of NGOS on Vocational Skills Development in Education
By Star Forum and Vigyan Ashram.
STAR Forum with Vigyan Ashram is organizing a national workshop of NGO'S and Educational Institutes to discuss need of Rural Vocational Skills Development in present educational system,and to make a portable model of it.
This workshop will held at Mahrattha Chamber Of Commerce Auditorium at Tilak,Road, Pune on 3rd and 4th January 2011,informed Yogesh Kulkarni,Director ,Vigyan Ashram(PABAL:DIST.PUNE) and co ordinator of Star Forum.
NGOS' and Educational institutes will
meet and discuss on above theme, share experiences and come up with model that can be taken up
by NGOs. Direct interaction during the Conference will give a chance to clear ideas and identify
collaborative areas among the participants.
This workshop will help to develop a country-wide framework to facilitate exchange of ideas and act as a think-tank.
This will help start the process of harnessing and collecting best ideas and practices and evolving
a framework for organizations working in this field to form an association for future dialog and
exchange of ideas on an annual basis,said Yogesh Kulkarni.
Dr T Karunakaran, Director, MGIRI (Mahtama Gandhi Institute for Rural Industrialization) Shri Kaustubh Amte, Assisstant Secretary, Maharogi Seva Samiti, Dr Kshama Mhetre from
CORD Training Centre, Sidhbari ,District Kangra, Himachal Pradesh are among the resource persons,guests for this workshop.
Dr.T Karunakaran, Director, MGIRI will inaugurate the workshop and will talk on 'Need of Making Portable Model of Skill Development in Education'. 25 participants, representing NGOS, government departments, Institutes, corporates, and e-learning based training providers, will participate in this workshop.
A tour of Vigyan Ashram, Pabal and Nhawre where a e-learning based centre has been set up by i-Active India, is also planned for participants.

दि.३ व ४ जाने रोजी स्टार फ़ोरम ( स्किल ट्रेनिंग फ़ोर अॅडव्हान्स मेंट ओफ़ रुरल सोसायटी ) या स्वयंसेवी संस्थांच्या राष्ट्रीय मंचाची कार्यशाळा पुणे येथे संपन्न झाली. ग्रामीण भागाच्या विकासासाठी आवश्यक कौशल्ये व त्यासाठी चे प्रशिक्षणाचे सार्वत्रिक करता येईल असे कुठले मोडेल असावे यावर कार्यशाळेत विचार झाला. सध्याच्या कौशल्य प्रशिक्षणाच्या उपलब्ध पध्दतींचा पहील्या दिवशी आढावा घेण्यात आला व सध्याच्या यशस्वी कार्यक्रमांचा आढावा घेण्यात आला. कौशल्यांच्या विकासाचे धोरण केवळ शहराच्या गरजा लक्षात घेऊन न करता ग्रामीण विकास केंद्री करण्यासाठी च्या पर्यांयाचा विचार करण्यात आला. शालेय स्तरापासून व्यवसाय शिक्षणाचा समावेश व्हायला हवा तरच श्रम प्रतिष्ठा व उपक्रमशील वृत्ती मुलांमध्ये वाढू शकेल त्यासाठी कार्यकेंद्री शिक्षणाचा आग्रह धरण्यासाठी राष्ट्रीय स्तरावर पाठ्पुरावा करण्यासाठी एका सुकाणू समितीची स्थापना करण्यात आली. देशभरातील सुमारे २० संस्था कार्यशाळेत सहभागी झाल्या होत्या. इंटरनेट , वेबसाईट या माध्यमातून इतर संस्थांना पण या मंचात सामील करुन घेण्याचे ठरले. अमेरीकेहून खास या कार्यशाळे साठी आलेले डो.सुधीर प्रभू , डो.सुधा कोठारी , डो.यशवंत वाघमारे ,हिमाचल प्रदेश मधून आलेल्या डो.क्षमा म्हेत्रे , गुजराथ मधील सेवा रुरल , वर्धा येथील महात्मा गांधी इंन्स्टीट्युट ओफ़ रुरल इंडस्ट्रीअलायझेशन आदी संस्था सहभागी झाल्या होत्या. स्टार मंचाच्या कार्यशाळेचे आयोजन पाबळ येथील विग्यान आश्रम यांनी केले होते.
